The Exact Timing of The Last Trumpet: It's in the Bible!!

The chronological sequence of the trumpets invalidates the pre-tribulation

rapture theory.

Since there are trumpets during the tribulation period, we know that

the last trumpet cannot be at the beginning of the tribulation period.

Paul said, "We shall not all sleep, but WE shall all be changed, in a

moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet

shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and WE shall

be changed" 1 Cor.15:52. This is the same trumpet as the one in 1 Thes 4:16,

because Paul used the pronoun, "WE", thereby including HIMSELF

in the exchange. If Paul, according to the fallacy of the pre-trib theory

were allegedly "changed" seven years earlier, there would be no need for

him to be "changed" at the last trump, which takes place years later.

We know that there are seven trumpet judgments listed

in the book of Revelation, therefore the last trump is either the

seventh trump or MORE LIKELY, an EIGHTH trump, not mentioned

in the Book of Revelation, which occurs

after the seventh. A detailed study of Rev shows that the 7th trump is

actually the entire 2nd half of the 7-yr trib, which sounds its sound for

"day[s]"---"In the DAYSSS of the VOICE of the 7th angel." [Rev. 10:7]

We see here that the trumps are actually VOICES as also indicated

by Rev 10:7 above, Rev chap. 1, Heb 12:19,26, and Exodus 19:16,19.

John 5:25,28-9 says that the day is coming when the dead will hear His

VOICE which, I submit to you, is that trumpet sound we are awaiting.

God will NOT give His glory to an angel in allowing an angel to blow

the last trump. You will notice that in the book of Revelation a "strong"

angel is mentioned, a different "mighty" angel is described elsewhere,

and thirdly, "another mighty angel" appears at another point in the book.

The seven angels that blow the trumpets and the other seven angels that

later on pour out the vials are not described as strong or mighty, though

the Lord was careful to make that distinction in other parts of the Word

depicting attributes of various angels.

I said all that simply to say that this 7th angel with the trumpet is NOT

likely the person ordained to announce the dramatic climax of world

history, since this angel was not characterized as a strong or mighty

angel, though God was meticulously specific about the size and power

of certain angels elsewhere.

There is a fringe radical spur of the "kingdom dominion / kingdom now"

movement that believe in a glorification of the body during the tribulation.

The teaching is unscriptural, because the glorified body is an immortal

body; There will be many Christians slaughtered, especially during

the last half of the tribulation, hence--they are not immortal.

A second group of Christians believed in a MID-trib rapture because

they, as I did, noticed that the 7th trumpet begins to sound at the midpoint

of the trib. What they didn't notice is that---though it "begins to sound"

(SEE Rev. 10:7) the Word doesn't say when it STOPS sounding. The

verb "begins" implies a continuous action. We see in 10:7 that this

trumpet, also called a "voice," lasts for DAYS. In those days the "mystery

of God shall be finished," which of course takes three and a half more

years. To substantiate that, I illustrated that the 7th trump is the third

"woe judgment," which also is the 2nd half of the trib. The Bible says,

"Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come

down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath

but a short time." [12:12] We see in verses 13 and 14 that "a short

time" is three and a half years in which he tries to persecute "the woman"

after he is cast down to earth. This is the last time that the word, "woe"

exists in the Bible, therefore the last three and a half years are

considered to be the third "woe judgment."

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump OF GOD: and the

dead in Christ shall rise first." [1 Thes 4:16] What was that again?

Did He say the "trump OF GOD"?? Whose trump was that again?

----GOD's trump, not man's trump, not an angel's trump, but

GOD's TRUMP. It kind of makes you think it might be HIS trumpet.

Look at this!--

¹³When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. ¹⁴And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the TRUMPET, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. ¹⁵The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. ¹⁶And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. [Zech 9:13-16]

In Exodus, both saints and sinners heard the trumpet sound.

The trumpet in 1 Thessalonians will NOT be exclusively heard by

Christians. All in heaven and on earth will hear that trumpet sound.

Although Revelation chapter 19 does not mention a trumpet---What

battle was ever engaged by Israel of old that was not accompanied

by the war trumpet. The war trumpet was a COMMANDMENT

given to Moses. Jesus fulfilled the Law perfectly, and WILL CONTINUE

to fulfill the Law and the Prophets, because "Till heaven and earth

pass, one jot or one tittle shall in NO wise pass from the law, till ALL

be fulfilled. Who would venture to say that the Lawgiver's army will NOT

descend at the Battle of Armageddon with the sound of a trumpet as depicted

in Zechariah chapter nine, verse fourteen (above),

even a sound very much like when the Law was first given, Whose

voice then shook the earth? Unless the Lawgiver becomes a lawbreaker

we will hear the final trumpet at Armageddon.

In addition to Zechariah 9:14 where else is this final trumpet recorded in the Bible,

since true Doctrine of God must be established by at least two witnesses?

Let's go to the book of Isaiah, chapter 24, verse 23.

Follow with me as the Lord sets the scene, which

correlates with the Book of Revelation and Zechariah nine.

The Lord begins to reign in Mount Zion. [Isa 24:23]

In 25:6 the Lord makes a feast of fat things,

mindful of Rev 19:18.

In 25:8, "He will swallow up death in victory," which

exactly parallels 1 Cor 15:54.

Moab is trodden down under Him as straw is trodden. [Isa 25:10]

This parallels Rev 14:20; Rev 19:15 and Isa 63:1-6, and is also

mindful of Malachi 4:3, "Ye [the saints] shall tread down the wicked ..."

In 26:5,6 there is the destruction of the Babylonish world system,

"He bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city,

He layeth it low ... He bringeth it even to the dust. The foot shall

tread it down ..."

In Isa 26:19 you see the resurrection foretold.

The verb tenses use the word, "shall." It doesn't say when

in the future the event "shall" happen, but we know

from the New Testament that the resurrection is at

the last trumpet.

In Isa 26:20,21 His people are warned by God to hide

themselves until the indignation be overpast,

"For, behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to

punish the inhabitants of the earth ..."

Some pre-trib teachers have theorized that verse

20 refers to the pre-trib rapture, but you can see

that it is His people that initiate the action of hiding

themselves, entering into THEIR chambers, not God's

chambers, and shutting THEIR doors, not God's doors,

all this in the midst of a dangerous external environment.

In chapter 27:1, Satan, the dragon, is punished. (See Rev 20:2,3)

Verse 2: "A vineyard of red wine" ---that's Armageddon! Blood

up to the horse's bridle! Remember Rev 14:20; Rev 19:15 and

Isa 63:1-6 above?

The conclusion of the matter is in 27:12,13:

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat

off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and

ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the GREAT TRUMPET

shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish

in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and

shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem." This is no doubt

the same trumpet that is described in Zechariah chapter nine, verse 14.

Notice in Zechariah 9:13-16 the sword and the bow and arrow, military

paraphernalia.

So there you have it: the War Trumpet of the Lord, which is the last trumpet

occurring at the Battle of Armageddon. See also:
