Thus saith the Lord, I would that ye all spake with tongues, but you say unto Me, "Isn't it also written, 'I would have all men to be saved', but yet surely they shall not all be saved, for narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." But I am speaking not unto the nations, but unto My people ... My children, I would that ye all spake with tongues; but you say unto Me, "I would rather prophesy." But I say unto you that I would that ye both spake in tongues and prophesied, and pray that ye may interpret, for a three-fold cord is not easily broken, and the thing shall be established by the testimony of three witnesses. Why do you think you have the faith to receive the gift of prophecy which I have given unto some, when you do not have the faith to receive the gift of tongues that I would give unto all believers, for I would that ye all spake with tongues. As I Am in My Father, and My Father is in Me, I have given to you tongues in My Word, and I have given to you My words in tongues, for it is written, 'With another tongue will I speak to this people'. Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of My words, of him shall I be ashamed; so be not ashamed of tongues, and forbid not to speak with tongues, because I would that ye all spake with tongues. I say unto you, "I would that ye all spake with tongues," and some of you who see yourselves as teachers reply unto Me, "I had rather speak five words with my understanding," but you have wrested My Word, for verily, I said that 'in the Church I had rather speak five words with my understanding that by my voice I might teach others also.' You are liars, because neither in the Church, nor in solitary when you enter into your prayer closet do you speak unto Me in tongues that I might edify you as you claim you edify others. You have not edified others, for when you teach others, you forbid them from speaking with tongues. Your words are not Mine, for I would that ye all spake with tongues. How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. My People, I hear your psalms, your doctrines, your revelations. Where is the tongue of which I spake which I so greatly desire to hear, for I would that ye all spake with tongues. You say it is but a little thing; the least of the gifts as you say. Then why is it so hard for you? Are you afraid of the fire a little member kindleth? Behold, I can kindle a fire in the earth, or I can stop the flames of the fiery furnace so thou shalt not be burned. But you indeed quench the smoking flax, forbidding my little ones to speak with tongues. I Myself will quench any strange fire; this office pertaineth not unto thee, oppressors of My people. I would that all My people spake with tongues and prophesied. There are those among you who say that 'each has his own gift' and no other gift, yet did not my servant Paul give thanks unto Me that He both spake with tongues more than ye all and also did prophesy? Did he not also lay hands on the sick and they recovered? But you say, "Who am I? Am I Paul? Am I Peter? I am from the smallest family of the smallest tribe in Israel"; but I would say unto you that I knew you in your mother's womb, and I determined before the creation of the world the seasons and boundaries of your being, for I have peculiar plans and purposes for you, yea, I have even graven thee upon the palms of My hands, for Mine eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Myself strong in the behalf of each one whose heart is perfect toward Me. Ask of Me, and I will open unto you the windows of Heaven and pour out My Spirit unto you and your children. I would that ye all spake with tongues. Some have said that tongues are foolishness, because nobody understands that which is spoken; They have said that tongues are the least and weakest of the gifts; But have I not said that My foolishness is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men? Was not My psalmist David despised by his brethren because he was the youngest? Yet he praised me unashamedly in the dance, and because his wife mocked this act of praise, her womb could never produce life. I would that ye all spake with tongues. Some of you have called My tongues childish, the least of My gifts, though I have not said so; but if tongues are the least in the eyes of men, remember I have commanded you in My Word not to despise small beginnings. Suffer the little children. If you have not been faithful in that which is smallest, why do you think I will render unto you the gift of prophecy when you despise that which is least? My gifts are all by grace, and you do despite unto My Holy Spirit of Grace by dishonoring these that are least in the eyes of men. I would that ye all spake with tongues. When My children pray in tongues, they are praying the mind of My Spirit which passeth the understanding of man, and that perfect prayer shall surely come to pass. Because you do not submit your tongue to My Spirit which bypasses the understanding, therefore your tongue is not submitted to that same Spirit of Prophecy which distributes each of My gifts, for there are some that would prophesy out of the mind of man, and not from My heart; no man who forbids speaking with tongues prophesieth by My Spirit, saith the Lord, for out of the same tongue cannot flow both sweet water and bitter. My house is not divided, neither Am I confused. My yea is still yea, and My nay is still nay. I change not; yesterday and today I would that ye all spake with tongues. I have set tongues as a sign in this land. I have said, "Covet spiritual gifts." I would that ye all spake with tongues. But you say, "I will not tempt God by asking a sign; I will not presume upon the grace of God." But it is I Myself saying, "Ask a sign of Me; covet My gifts." My prophet Isaiah told Ahaz to ask of Me a sign, and verily I would give it to Him, whatsoever he should ask in the heights or depths; but he stubbornly refused a sign of Me, saying, "I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord." I commanded by my servant Elisha unto Joash, "Smite with thine arrows, and so shall thy victories be," and he smote but three times, when he should have smitten five or six times, and then had consumed his enemies. Yea, I could do but few signs in Nazareth because they would not hear My Word, nor receive of My Faith. My people, I long to reach out and heal you that ye might praise Me. I would that ye all spake with tongues. I have established and ordained a procedure of order and structure in the building of My Kingdom; Here a little, there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept, from faith to faith; I would that ye surrender that tiny member, that rudder, unto me, coming unto Me as little children in child-like faith. Surrender your tongue unto Me in faith as a tiny mustard seed; and in so doing, I will increase your faith that ye may prophesy, for My people prophesy according to the proportion of faith. If you do not have faith to speak in tongues, which I desire for all, how can you begin to prophesy? For I have an order, procedure, and process of growth as the corn puts forth the stalk and the stalk the ear and the ear the kernel; building yourselves up on your holy faith that you might receive the faith to prophesy, by praying and speaking in My Spirit, keeping yourselves in My love. I would that ye all spake with tongues. I have said, 'Forbid not to speak with tongues', but some of you have not entered into My gift of tongues though the invitation is open and the way is plain; you have not only forbidden yourself, but you do not allow others to enter into this refreshing which I have given, that your souls may be refreshed, that I might pour you out a blessing you cannot contain that My Spirit should become a river overflowing unto others, that your sons and daughters shall prophesy. I would that ye all spake with tongues. But you fear the reproach of men; you fear the loss of friends, family and fortunes more than you fear Me. You fear the Adversary more than you fear Me, for he does not understand the tongues in which I would that ye all spake, for blessed is the people that know the joyful sound; and the enemy would that ye be cursed, rather than blest. If a man ask his earthly father for a fish, would he give him a serpent? How much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit unto them that ask Him, for I would that ye all by My Spirit spake with tongues, and as you bless Me in tongues, I shall bless you and all that is thine, and I shall extend the stakes of thy tent. Some of you have said that ye are holy, having an outward form of holiness and godliness but no power thereof, for you cast that which is holy, My Gift of the Holy Spirit unto the dogs, and throw your pearls before swine in despising My gift of tongues; for the wisdom of My Word is better than rubies, and My Word has declared I would that ye all spake with tongues, but you have turned a deaf ear, and your tongue is dumb, as your ears are deaf, because I would that ye all spake with tongues, but you will not hear my voice, or receive My Word: I would that ye all spake with tongues. You have said, "I covet the greatest gift, and that gift is love"; I did not say that; I said that amongst faith, hope, and charity; love is the greatest; but I would say unto thee that My Spirit is love, for I Am love; And my love and my desire is that ye all spake with tongues that you may keep yourselves in My love. How can you say you love Me, and yet you hate the gifts of Mine Own Spirit of Love which I have willed unto thee in My Will and Testament as your heritage sealed with the earnest of My Spirit, for it is My Testimony and Will that ye all speak with tongues. Have not I said unto thee that thou shalt find Me when thou seekest Me with all thine heart? Is not My first commandment that thou shouldst love Me with all thy being? Do you not sing "Have Thine Own Way, Lord"? Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? O, I would that ye all spake with tongues. This is My way; walk ye in it. And you shall hear the Voice of the Spirit of Prophecy, saying this is the way, continue to walk in it, and I will go before you, as you walk and talk along the way in the Spirit. I would that ye all spake with tongues. You have said that you covet the greatest gifts. There is a dearth of speaking with tongues among My people in this dry land. I have said that My Spirit would be rivers of living waters flowing out from your innermost being, but My land today is thirsty and you are as dry trees. I would say unto you that the greatest gift is that which is most needed at this time, and that gift at this season is speaking with tongues, for I will not entrust unto you the gift of prophecy until you surrender your tongue unto Me; I will not entrust the gifts of healing unto you unless you give all the glory unto Me with your tongue, because the glory is Mine and I will not share it with another. I spake by the mouth of My psalmist, saying, "My heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth"; and later, speaking of that psalm, I spake by Mine apostle, "Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad". Do you not see that as the hair of the woman is her glory, that the tongue I have put in you is the glory of the Spirit I have put in you when you surrender praise unto Me speaking with tongues? I will put My new wine and a new language in you and these words shall be life and a refreshing unto all that drink in My blessing, for with the tongue you give glory unto Me; you bless Me, and you give thanks well, and it shall be well with thine own soul, and with the souls of all that partake of the promise of My blessing, and the blessing of My Promise; and there shall be a Fountain in the wilderness, and this desert shall blossom. Wherefore, I would that ye all spake with tongues. As the servant coming in from the field does not first sit down to eat meat in the house of his Master, but he first gives unto the Master that He may eat and drink, and then later the servant shall partake; likewise, I would that ye fill Me up with your praises, speaking with tongues, giving thanks unto Me; and then sit, and I will gird Myself and fill your mouth to overflowing with more abundant gifts, with prophecy, with interpretation, when thou shalt confess, "We are unprofitable servants; we have only done first unto the Master that which He first willed us to do, as He said, 'I would that ye all spake with tongues.'" As My daughter Mary sat at My feet praising Me, the sweet fragrance of her worship arose unto My nostrils as an offering unto Me, while others hurried about greatly troubled in preparation, much weary in serving Me, she desired My presence more than her necessary daily meat, for man cannot live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, and My meat that I hunger for is to do the will of My Father God. The will of the Father is that ye would all speak with tongues. Pretending to speak on My behalf, some have taken up this refrain, "Seek My face, not My hand; seek the Giver, not the gift," but I say: Are you indignant on My behalf? Are you wiser than Me? Do I not know the hearts of all men? Am I so foolish as to give gifts unto those that ask amiss? I do not require you to defend Me, to lay your arm of flesh upon My ark to steady it, for I alone judge the hearts of men. Wherefore, it is My good pleasure and My great delight to give gifts unto all My children. Covet the best gifts! Why do you try to quench My Spirit? You do stubbornly resist Me. Why do you try to circumvent My will? Your words are vain and they shall surely fail. But I would that they all spake with tongues, and My Word shall never fail, for My will shall surely come to pass in its time. When I return, tongues shall pass away, for I shall speak to you face to face, mouth to mouth; but My Words shall never fail, and the words I put in the mouths of those who praise Me in tongues shall not fail in their purpose, but shall be accomplished. I would that ye all spake with tongues. I Am weary of the old leaven. Therefore cast out the old leaven of dead works and hypocrisy and empty speeches. But My speeches are not empty, for My Word shall not return unto Me void and My gift of tongues of which I spake in My Word and by which my children speak unto Me the words I have given unto them praying in the Spirit also shall not return unto Me void, for they have come up as a remembrance before Me, and they are perpetual sweet incense upon Mine altar, and My angel shall take of their incense and cast the answer to their prayers into the earth that their prayers shall be fulfilled, filling the earth and heavens with the fragrance of My Presence. I shall pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. They shall speak with tongues and they shall prophesy. I would that ye all spake with tongues. Because Jonah would not prophesy to Nineveh, I sent him into the bowels of the deep until he humbled himself, offering up his sacrifice of praise from the belly of that great fish, and as you humble yourself and receive from Me, rivers of praise shall flow out of your belly from the depths of the waters, from your tongues; and I will give unto you prophecies, as I restored the burden of prophecy to My servant Jonah, when he first surrendered his tongue unto Me with the sacrifice of praise, and so multitudes shall be saved. As Jonah was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall tongues be a sign unto unbelievers. I would that ye all spake with tongues. I have promised you My Holy Spirit. You do not speak in tongues because you do not believe My Promise. My priest, Zacharias, did not trust in my promise that John the Baptist would be born from the barren womb of his wife, Elisabeth. Therefore, I smote his lips with dumbness for a season. When He turned unto Me in faith, his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God; and when he gave Me all the glory, I gave to him the gift of prophecy: "Thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways." Oh, how I would that ye all spake with tongues. Some have inquired, saying, "Why would the Lord give this gift of tongues, these prayers unto the Giver that the speaker does not even understand? For God alone understands the mind of the Spirit." I say, are not all gifts given to be returned unto Me, your Maker? I the Lord giveth, and I the Lord taketh away, and I the Lord restore unto you again. My ways are not your ways. My ways are higher than your ways. I only ask that you hear Me, trust and obey; for God gives the Spirit unto those who obey Him. I would that ye all spake with tongues. Obey Me, and I will give you understanding. By My servant Samuel I said that obedience is greater than sacrifice; And in another place, "Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldst not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me." Mine ears hast Thou opened, for I learned obedience through offering up My Own body, for I delight to do My Father's will. As I gave My whole body, I ask that My brethren give their bodies, for it is your body and spirit as a living sacrifice of praise that I desire; give Me your glory; give Me your tongue, for it is the helm of your body, and if you surrender your tongue in praise unto Me, the body shall surely follow, for I have made you to praise Me with your whole being. I have even commanded you to praise Me. I have created you for this purpose in the earth; I would that ye all spake with tongues. Thou criest out unto Me for miracles. Yea, I have already promised unto you all a miracle, but thou hast not yet availed thine own selves of it. It waiteth at the border of thy mouth, yea, even at the tip of the tongue. Thou hast only but to speak forth this miracle, and so shall it be reckoned unto thee, and so it shall come to pass. Ye only have not because ye ask not. O My people, I would that ye all spake with tongues. Now in this hour, lift up your voice and heart with your hands. Sing unto Me a new song in tongues by My Spirit. Let My joy give you strength that ye may be overcomers as the heroes of old overcame, and I will yet do a new thing in the earth. You are My earth, My earthen vessels. I am your Potter, and I have made all My vessels not in vain, but to be filled to the brim and running over, overflowing from the lips and tongues with My praises. O My beloved children, I would beseech thee that ye all spake with tongues. Verily, verily, I say unto you that it shall come to pass in the last days I will pour out My Spirit on My sons and daughters that you will not be ashamed of Me and of My gifts of tongues and prophecy, nor shall my Father be ashamed of you, for He will give you boldness, that ye might believe wholly in Me, so shall ye in My name cast out devils, ye shall speak with new tongues and ye shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover, that there will be so great an abundance of My Glory that the earth and the heavens cannot contain Me, saith the Spirit of the Lord God of Israel, the Everlasting Father, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Son of God, Son of David. Selah.
